Glad to be alive in the 21st Century...

So, I just received this in an email forward about Life in the 1500's... Honestly this gives me a whole new perspective on the wedding season....

"Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married."

Hmmm... and might I add, gross.

Are you suggesting we're supposed to bathe more than once a year? ;-)

I'm guessing your bouquet will be rather large at your wedding Erin?? ;)
